Fortinet Discovers MalwareBytes Arbitrary File Deletion Vulnerability

Summary

Fortinet's FortiGuard Labs has discovered an Arbitrary File Deletion vulnerability in MalwareBytes.

Malwarebytes is an anti-malware software which is developed by Malwarebytes Corporation.

An Arbitrary File Deletion vulnerability has been discovered in MalwareBytes by FortiGuard Labs. This vulnerability exists in its file quarantine mechanism because the vulnerable application fails to verify if the target file is a symbolic link before deleting it. It could allow malicious users to delete any existing file on the system.
